Strategy and delivery for regulated industries.

A senior consultancy partnering with Canada's most demanding organisations on the work that decides whether a programme delivers, a platform endures, and an AI initiative survives a regulator's review.

Capabilities

Four disciplines.
One integrated firm.

Our practice grew across seven years of work inside complex regulated organisations. The disciplines operate together because the harder problems require more than one to resolve.

01

Programme & Agile Delivery

Senior programme management across agile, SAFe, and hybrid frameworks — in environments where regulatory context, stakeholder complexity, and delivery failure each carry consequence.

  • Agile and SAFe programme leadership
  • Enterprise transformation delivery
  • Multi-stakeholder governance
  • Programme recovery and turnaround
  • Risk and compliance alignment
02

Data & Analytics

A decade of applied data science across regulated industries — from analytics platforms and reporting infrastructure to the governance foundations that determine whether AI investments are viable.

  • Data science and analytical modelling
  • Analytics and reporting platforms
  • Data architecture and governance
  • Insight pipeline design and delivery
  • AI-readiness assessment
03

UX & Product Design

Enterprise design for data-heavy applications and complex operational workflows, where an unclear interface is not only frustrating but a compliance and operational risk.

  • UX research, strategy, and design
  • Operational and compliance dashboards
  • Design systems and component libraries
  • Usability testing and iteration
  • Accessibility and inclusive design
04

AI Strategy & Governance

Grounded in a decade of data science and programme delivery — not a trend pivot, but the natural extension of work we have been doing for years. Architect of the open-source SKI Framework.

  • AI readiness and opportunity assessment
  • Governance and risk framework design
  • Vendor evaluation and due diligence
  • AI-augmented workflow design
  • Regulatory AI adoption strategy
Clients

Seven years inside Canada's most complex organisations.

Our practitioners have delivered inside these organisations — managing programmes, building data platforms, and designing systems that are still in production. The breadth reflects the environments we operate in.

The Firm

From delivery to data to AI — seven years in the making.

KpiFinity was founded in 2018 on a simple premise: regulated industries needed senior practitioners who could manage complex programmes and design systems people actually used. Not large firms staffing junior teams at senior rates.

Over time the practice deepened. Data science engagements added a second dimension. A pattern surfaced across sectors — organisations investing in AI without the governance, the delivery discipline, or the UX rigour to make those investments work.

That observation, accumulated across Canadian energy, financial services, and government, is now four formal practice areas, a published AI governance framework, and a team growing to match the scope of the work we take on.

2018
KpiFinity founded
Programme delivery and UX design practice established in Calgary. First engagements in energy and financial services.
2019 – 2021
Depth across sectors
Embedded across government, energy, and financial services programmes. Data science begins — analytics platforms, reporting infrastructure, insight pipelines.
2022 – 2023
The AI governance gap
A repeated pattern: organisations investing in AI without the governance architecture to make those investments defensible. The technology is maturing faster than the frameworks.
2024 – 2025
AI practice formalised
AI strategy practice launched. The SKI Framework — an open-source AI governance specification for regulated industries — developed and published.
Now
Four practices. A growing team.
Programme delivery, data and analytics, UX design, and AI strategy — an integrated firm with a practitioner network across each discipline.
How we work

Senior practitioners. Multi-discipline depth.

01

The people who scope deliver

KpiFinity is structured so the practitioners who design your engagement also run it. We do not place a senior lead in front of a junior team.

02

Seven years inside regulated environments

We operate inside large regulated organisations daily — their approval chains, legacy systems, compliance obligations, and stakeholder dynamics. The learning curve has already happened.

03

Delivery and design under one firm

Programme management rigour and design discipline rarely come from one supplier. When a project needs both — and most do — we remove the coordination overhead.

04

Data science connected to delivery

Our data practice is not a separate division. The practitioners who manage programmes also architect the data platforms they implement. Fewer handoffs, fewer gaps.

People

Senior practitioners across every discipline.

KpiFinity operates with a core leadership team and a vetted practitioner network — specialists engaged per engagement so the people on the work are the right people for the work.

Programme Delivery
Senior Delivery Leads
Fifteen years average experience. Enterprise programme management in energy, financial services, and government. SAFe certified. Programme recovery specialists.
Data & Analytics
Data Scientists & Engineers
Ten-plus years of applied data science. Model development, analytics infrastructure, and data governance. Deep experience inside regulated data environments.
UX & Design
UX Architects & Designers
Eight to twelve years of enterprise interface design. Design systems, complex workflow UX, and operational dashboards for compliance-critical environments.
AI Strategy
AI Strategy Consultants

Leadership

Led by two founders.
Senior leadership on every engagement.

KpiFinity's co-founders lead both the firm and its client work. The firm is structured so that leadership is present on the work, not just on the pitch.

Rahul Kapai
Rahul Kapai
Co-founder & Managing Director

Sixteen years of programme management in energy, financial services, and government, combined with a decade of applied data science. Rahul has led multi-million dollar programmes where delivery failure and data governance lapses both carry regulatory consequence. He leads KpiFinity's delivery and data practices and is the primary architect of the SKI Framework.

Mitali Sharma
Mitali Sharma
Co-founder & Design Director

Ten years of UX design concentrated in complex enterprise applications — operational dashboards, data-heavy workflows, and regulated-industry platforms where the interface directly affects compliance outcomes and operator decisions. Mitali leads the UX practice and the design quality of every client-facing deliverable.
